Gracie's After Story - Part 2

I didn’t know how to feel when I heard a pounding on the door. “Who...who is that?” I asked nervously. “Kylie, please, I’m scared.”

I was all tied up naked to the bed, and someone was pounding on the door. I wasn’t sure who it was, but I was nervous that it might be who I thought it was. How would she react? To all of this... she might just kill me.

“Gracie, it’s okay. I’ll be here with you,” Kylie said, untying me.

I quickly threw on some clothes as Kylie went to the door. I trailed behind her nervously as the door swung open. “Grayson Delia Stein! What on earth are you doing? I get a call from Mrs. Cravat yesterday saying you were walking around naked?! And now I find out from a friend at work that you’re naked on the INTERNET!! I never raised you to be like that!” my mom yelled.

I didn’t know what to do as I looked down in shame, scared. “Mom, please, it... it wasn’t like that!” I cried. “Not at first anyways, but mom I just... need to explore what I’m feeling. I’ve never understood it, and and Kylie has been helping me figure things out.”

My mom straightened up and looked between Kylie and myself. “Mrs. Stein, please,” Kylie said. “If there’s anyone you should be mad at, it’s me. I forced Gracie to go along with this. She honestly didn’t even know about the things being posted on the internet, but with all due respect, I think you should let her continue. She’s 22, she can decide for herself. She’s not going to be your baby girl forever.”

“I didn’t raise my daughter to be some whore,” my mom said. “Or some slutty pornstar.”

I stared at my mother. “Is that what you think of me, mom?” I asked. “Don’t you think that this is my decision to make? I know this isn’t what you wanted for me, but mom, I... I love what I’m doing with Kylie. I’ve never been this happy in a long time. Isn’t that what matters?”

“I just want you to be careful, Gracie. The industry is a dangerous place. It uses you, manipulates you all to just make some cash,” my mom said, sighing. “I’m sorry I said those words, that’s not what I truly meant. Look, Gracie, I care a whole lot about you, okay? So I want you to truly consider what you’re doing. Once you get involved with the porn industry, it’s hard to get out of it. People will always look at you a different way, judge you a different way, treat you a different way. People will look at you like you’re some object to be played with. I don’t want you to be hurt by any of those people. I love you too much to see you like that.”

“Mom, why do you speak like you have experience?” I asked.

“Well, because I kind of do, not in the porn industry, but I did dance when I was younger at a strip club. People just don’t understand why anyone would strip their clothes off for money. Why anyone would do something so... provocative. People will judge you for it, Gracie. That’s all I’m saying,” she said, bringing me into a hug. “Gracie, if this is something you truly want to do, then I can’t stop you. But please understand the consequences of pursuing this route.”

I nodded. “I understand,” I said. “But I trust Kylie. She’ll protect me if something does go wrong. And I trust you, mom. I know you’ll protect me too.”

My mom smiled and kissed my forehead. “Of course, I will,” she said. “Look, I’ll try to talk to your father. But he hasn’t received this news the best way. I mean you are his little girl after all.”

My face paled. “How exactly did dad take it?”

“Well, he was definitely upset that you didn’t tell him first, and that he found out about it through some of his coworkers that were... watching the feed,” my mom said.

My eyes widened. “Dad’s coworkers... watched me?”

“Gracie, that’s the other thing you need to realize. Everyone you know and everyone you don’t know can see you on the internet. There’s no hiding from them. Every stranger you meet will already know who you are, at least who part of you is. They’ll know every detail about your body. Details you might not have even considered,” my mom said. “If you truly want to go down this path, you need to be okay with everyone knowing what you look like. Your friends, enemies, strangers, my friends, your father’s friends, your neighbors, everyone will know.”

I took a moment to think about it, but I already knew my answer. “I want to do this,” I said. “I’m sorry mom, and I’m also sorry to dad, but I’m not going to stop. I’m going to do this. I’m going to be good at it. And I’m going to live with the consequences.”

“Okay then,” my mom said. “If you need anything, let me know.”

With that, my mom walked our the door. As soon as the door shut, I collapsed, letting the tears stream down my face. My body was shaking. My heart was racing. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t stand. Everything was what I honestly expected, but also I had been expecting a lot worse. I thought she was going to disown me or throw me out or something. I felt arms wrap around me, as I cried, taking heavy deep breaths. “It’s okay, Gracie. It’s going to be okay,” Kylie said. “I’m here for you. I’m here, and I’m not leaving you.”

“Kylie, am I making a mistake?” I asked through my tears. “Everyone’s going to think...”

“Screw what everyone thinks,” Kylie said. “You need to just live your life, Gracie.”
